I am a student teacher from UW-Whitewater for Mrs. Wenzel for the first two quarters of the school year. Tell us about your family. My family consists of my husband and I, with our dog named Diesel, and our three horses Lady, Jolie, and Cadence. What activities do you enjoy outside of school? Outside of school, I enjoy training horses professionally as well as teach riding lessons. I'm always teaching! My favorite thing to teach is barrel racing and rodeo drill team. When I'm not teaching, my family and I enjoy rodeoing and spending time together. What’s the best thing about working in the district? The Walworth community has an amazing family atmosphere to teach in, and learn in as a new teacher. I have really loved my time with all of the staff and students and will greatly miss it when I complete my student teaching. I hope to come visit and sub for the remainder of the year to visit my new friends. What’s your favorite food or restaurant? My Mother and Step Father own a small pizza restaurant in Wonderlake, IL called Paulee's Pizza. Not only is it my favorite restaurant, but it is also my FAVORITE FOOD. Growing up I also worked there which was always fun. Our family doesn't make cookies for Santa we make him Pizza! #WalworthSundayStaffSpotlight #WalworthJ1

The absolute LOVE of creating our very own gingerbread baby, brought JOY, ADVENTURE, and a few TEARS. The children in Ms. Boldger's junior kindergarten class had such FUN finding clues where he could be after escaping from the oven. As you can see, he did create some havoc with the staff as well. After much searching, we discovered his letter stating that he went to the North Pole to help Santa. This news was a relief (he didn't get eaten) and brought despair, "But I didn't get to say good-bye!" Our wonderful gingerbread baby did make a few return mystery visits as we found "selfies" of him posing by the beautiful gingerbread houses the kids made with their families! We were certain we would catch him then! He also returned with gingerbread shaped crayons and stockings for each child. Thank you Gingerbread BABY! Now, you and Santa need to rest! #WalworthJ1
