But amidst all the autumnal beauty, the community of Walworth eagerly anticipates a beloved tradition that has thrived for nearly six decades - the annual Halloween Parade on the village square, hosted by the Walworth Jt. School District #1.

This year's celebration of the Halloween Parade, did not disappoint. The village square was awash with spooky sights and sounds as the middle school band donned eerie costumes and played haunting melodies. From pint-sized ghouls to superhero characters, the elementary students delighted onlookers by parading around the square, showcasing their creative costumes, and filling the air with infectious laughter.

As the parade commenced, Walworth residents gathered in the village square, along with middle schoolers, school staff, community members, and families, many of whom were eagerly awaiting this heartwarming spectacle. Dressed in their Halloween best, the excited participants couldn't help but share in the festive spirit.

In a true display of community spirit, the Walworth Fire and Police Departments provide essential support by blocking off traffic along Highway 14, ensuring that the parade can proceed safely. Their assistance is a critical part of the event's success and a testament to the strong collaboration between the school district and the Village of Walworth.

Principal Don Hoey, who has been part of the Walworth School District for over two decades, shared his thoughts on the parade's enduring appeal. "The Halloween Parade has been a cherished tradition for generations.
