Janet took 12th place out of 116 girls and Phillip was 14th out of 145 boys for Walworth in a 12-team cross country meet at Jefferson on Sept. 27.
Many runners among the 16-member team of fifth through eighth graders beat their pace at the meet. They included: Janet, Cassandra, Addi, Kenzie, Phillip, Maddox, Jayce, Joe, Jaxson, Max , Landyn, Jacob and Rykin.
"I am very proud of the team for working hard, being respectful, and improving their times on each race," said Coach Jodie Klamm. "They support each other and know how to have a good time."
The team has one more upcoming meet, which has not yet been finalized.
