Football Players Stand with Coach Outside of School

The Walworth Jt. School District #1 flag football teams each finished with just one loss this season. The A team ended 5-1 and tied for first place with Williams Bay after a loss to Williams Bay that accounted for the teams splitting games this season. The B team notched a 20-16 victory recently over Williams Bay to finish 4-1-1.

"Our A team came out flat against a fast Williams Bay team. Our first series we went three and out. Overall, penalties and big plays did us in," said Coach Troy Hummel about the 28-20 loss.

"Before the game, I told our players that Williams Bay will be a lot better this time around. And, it would be a more physical game. Their quarterback scrambled well and was the difference maker in the game. We had multiple third-down plays that we were unable to stop," said Hummel. "(It was a) great season overall."
