Pop a Top for Water! 💧
After learning about the water crisis in South Sudan during 6th-grade social studies, our students wanted to take action and make a difference. They decided to start a schoolwide pop-top collection to raise money for Water for South Sudan.
From now until Friday, May 29, each classroom will have a gallon jug to collect pop tops. The three classrooms that collect the most pop tops will earn freeze pops!
All collected pop tops will be recycled, and the money earned will be donated to Water for South Sudan. Thank you for helping our students support this important cause!

Our 6th graders had an amazing day exploring the outdoors on their field trip! 🌿☀️
At Havenwoods State Forest, students participated in two engaging ranger-led programs where they learned more about nature, wildlife, and the environment. It was a great opportunity to explore, ask questions, and connect with the natural world. 🦌🌳
The adventure continued at Klode Park along Lake Michigan, where students had a blast skipping rocks and wading in the cool water. 🌊🪨 There’s nothing better than learning and making memories outside!
What a fantastic day of discovery, fun, and fresh air!

Students in Mrs. Janney's and Miss Koltes' kindergarten classes enjoyed a recent visit from team members from the Open Arms Clinic in Elkhorn. Our students enjoyed learning all about dental health and LOVED the many hands-on activities that they had the opportunity to participate in. The children were so excited to meet the tooth fairy and were thrilled with the special dental health goody bags that they received. Thank you to Open Arms Clinic for this wonderful opportunity.

Our final day in DC was awesome! We started with a group picture in front of the US Capitol building. We then viewed the Supreme Court, visited the Library of Congress, went on a guided tour of the US Capitol building, and ate lunch at the US Capitol. Following that, we visited the National Air and Space Museum, the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, then we headed to the airport and said goodbye to our tour guide, Gary. Another fantastic trip with a great group of students!
A very special thank you to Dr. Hajewski and Mr. Brockway for chaperoning and documenting this amazing trip.

All fourth-grade students were offered free white pine to take home on Friday and plant. For over forty years the Wisconsin DNR has made a free Arbor Day tree seedling available to every fourth-grade student in the state. Every year, thousands of classrooms take advantage of receiving these small, bare-root seedlings that are grown at a state nursery. Our state does this to teach children about the importance of trees as a renewable resource. Happy Arbor Day Wildcats! 🌲

We are incredibly proud of Walworth 8th grader Maddox Waswo, who, along with three fellow BFAS students, had the honor of participating in a ceremony at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier at Arlington National Cemetery. 🇺🇸
This powerful and meaningful experience is a true reflection of respect, service, and patriotism. Representing their school and community in such a historic place is something they will carry with them for a lifetime.
Way to go, Maddox! ❤️🤍💙
These words are inscribed on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery. "The Tomb of the Unknowns symbolizes those of America who gave their lives in World War I, World War II, and the Korean War in defense of the Nation’s integrity, honor, and tranquility." #WalworthProud #WalworthJ1
