A big thank you to Executive Chef Eduardo Medina from Taher Food for spending time at Walworth School today preparing for tomorrow’s lunch! 👨‍🍳✨

Students who choose hot lunch are in for a delicious treat with the Spanish Bowl—featuring your choice of beef or chicken, tortilla chips, rice, pinto beans, and fresh homemade salsa.

We are grateful for the care and passion you bring to creating such flavorful, high-quality meals for our students. 💛💜

Be sure to read below to learn more about Chef Eduardo Medina! 👨‍🍳

Chef Eduardo grew up in Guanajuato, Mexico, where he loved watching his mom and grandma cook homemade Mexican dishes. By age 10, he made his very first dish — a tasty pork stew — and seeing hisfamily enjoy it made him want to be a chef
even more! At 13, he got his first restaurant job, washing dishes and learning from the chefs after hours. By 18, he had moved to
Milwaukee, WI, where he worked his way up to leading restaurant teams and cooking at an award-winning
steakhouses, universities, and now for Taher.
When Chef Eduardo isn’t in the kitchen, he’s with his three kids, growing vegetables in his garden, or fixing things around the house. He believes a good meal can brighten anyone’s day — and he loves sharing that joy with students!
