At Sharon, breakfast is served from 8:30-9:15 and lunch is served from 11:00-12:00 Monday-Friday. The SFSP is a federally funded, state-administered program that reimburses program operators who serve free healthy meals and snacks to children and teens in low-income areas during the summer months, when children do not have access to school meals. Camp Walworth went to explore the Walworth Memorial Library. They were given some red, white and blue stickers to celebrate the upcoming Fourth of July holiday. "Campers" worked on math in their floaties and played a fun math memory game. "Campers" worked in their writing journals and played camp bingo in Language Arts class. They made amazing optical illusion spinners in Science class and designed their own style. "Campers" also got to play a great game of Dodgeball with different variations, and an exciting game of Duck Duck goose! A special thank you to the Walworth Memorial Library for the tour and special gift!

We visited the Geneva Lakes Animal Hospital, played scooter soccer, practiced our math and reading, and did a chemical reaction in science where we built up pressure in a small container and they went flying up like a rocket!!! Mrs. Hummel had herJunior Kindergarten/Kindergarten Reunion with 8th graders! Her former students had a great time reminiscing about their time together 10 years ago, when they were in Junior Kindergarten and then together again in Kindergarten. The "children" loved receiving their adorable folder of treasures that Mrs. Hummel had saved for them!
