On Wednesday, May 7th, our 7th graders got to visit Truax Field in Madison, home of the Wisconsin Air National Guard's 115th Fighter Wing (and the Dane County Regional Airport). Our students got to watch an F-35 take off, learn about the unique fire trucks used at an airport, learn about an F-35 jet, talk with an experienced Air Force pilot who flies the F-35, and spend some time with the EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) team.
We want to thank the 115th Fighter Wing and Fire Department for hosting us and the Ingalls-Kopeppen Post 102 for sponsoring and putting together this amazing opportunity for our 7th grade students. We would especially like to thank #WalworthAlumni, Mr. Michael Long, for coordinating this special experience.
