🚌 Safety Town ~ Day 3🚦

On Wednesday, our Safety Town friends became bus safety experts! A huge thank you to Ms. Emily from Dousman Transport Company for giving our students a special hands-on bus safety presentation. Students had the opportunity to climb aboard the bus, learn about the different safety zones, and practice how to stay safe when riding and walking around a school bus.

Afterward, our future safety stars continued practicing their skills in Wesley's Safety City, where they worked hard to safely navigate streets, crosswalks, and traffic signs. Everyone is doing an amazing job as they prepare to earn their Safety Certificate on Friday! 🌟

We're so proud of all the confidence and responsibility our students are showing each day. Keep up the great work, Safety Town friends!

Our Safety Town students are becoming true safety experts! Tuesday, they showed just how much they've learned by confidently navigating Wesley's Safe City. It was wonderful to see their confidence grow as they practiced making safe choices along the roads and intersections.

Next, our students became Crosswalk Superstars as they learned and practiced the proper way to safely cross the street—looking left, right, and left again, making eye contact with drivers, and using crosswalks the right way. 🌟🚸

We are so proud of all the hard work and enthusiasm our young learners are showing each day. Way to go, Safety Town friends!

🚦Safety Town ~ Day 1🚦

What a fantastic first day of Walworth's Safety Town!

On Monday, our young safety experts learned all about roadway safety. Students discussed how to watch for pedestrians, recognized different traffic signs, and practiced how to safely navigate traffic.

They put their new knowledge into action by playing a lively game of Red Light, Green Light before putting their traffic safety skills to the test in Wesley's Safety City! 🚸🚲

We are so proud of how eager our Safety Town students were to learn and practice safe habits. We can't wait for another fun-filled day of learning tomorrow!

Our students had an incredible day filled with exploration, discovery, and hands-on learning. They started by enhancing prior knowledge gained from the StarLab and then expanded their understanding of astronomy with a visit to Yerkes Observatory! Students were thrilled to receive a private tour of the facility and learn how astronomical technology has evolved over the years.

The fun didn't stop there! In science, campers explored chemistry by creating their own slime. During math, they practiced number operations through games of Uno and creative problem-solving with LEGO activities.

To kick off the day, students participated in some friendly and competitive games that energized them for an exciting afternoon of learning and discovery.

Day 4 was full of memorable experiences, and we can't wait to see what adventures Day 5 brings! ⭐🔭🧪

What an amazing Day 3 at Camp Walworth! The rain couldn't keep us down—in fact, it led to one of our best adventures yet... a trip to Outer Space! 🌎✨🌙

Today, campers had the opportunity to explore the StarLab, where they learned about constellations, stars, and the wonders of outer space. Students traveled across the night sky, discovered fascinating facts about the universe, and even enjoyed a special camping adventure story under the stars! ⭐📖⛺

Rainy days may change our plans, but they can't stop the fun, learning, and excitement happening at Camp Walworth!

Camp Walworth is off to an amazing start! Days 1 and 2 have been filled with adventure, laughter, and lots of new friendships. On Day 1, campers explored the outdoors with a nature walk at Devils Lane Park, enjoying the fresh air, observing nature, and getting to know their fellow campers through fun activities and games.
Day 2 brought an exciting opportunity as campers received a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Village of Village of Walworth Streets and Parks Department. Students learned about the important work that keeps our community running smoothly, explored equipment and facilities, and gained a greater appreciation for the people who help maintain our parks, roads, and public spaces.
From outdoor exploration to community learning experiences, our campers have embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm, curiosity, and Wildcat spirit. We are so proud of the friendships being formed and the memories being made already!
We can't wait to see what adventures the rest of the week has in store!
