The SFSP is a federally funded, state-administered program that reimburses program operators who serve free healthy meals and snacks to children and teens in low-income areas during the summer months, when children do not have access to school meals.
Other local communities are also offering this program (Elkhorn, Whitewater, and Lake Geneva). Dial 2-1-1 or text "food" to 304-304. You can also use the link below to find the SFSP site closest to you.

Third grade students enjoyed a special end-of-year walking field trip to Golden Years, where they sang songs, shared self-written poetry, and handed out cards and pictures they had created for residents. The visit provided a wonderful opportunity to connect with members of the community and spread kindness. On the walk back to school, students celebrated with popsicles and enjoyed some fun time at the park.

🎓 It has been a week full of celebration for our 8th Grade Graduates!
The festivities began last Friday with the 8th Grade Bash, where students each received a T-shirt designed by the talented Mrs. Brungraber. On Wednesday, students enjoyed their end-of-the-year field trip, which included a scenic boat ride on Geneva Lake, a picnic in the park, and a few fun games of bowling.
Thursday featured our PBIS Awards celebration and a lunch cookout, where students also received their yearbooks. The afternoon continued with the annual Staff vs. 8th Grade games, bringing plenty of laughter and friendly competition.
The week wrapped up on Friday with the final student day, as we celebrated the memories, accomplishments, and friendships that have made this class so special.
We are proud of our graduates and all they have accomplished during their time at Walworth. Congratulations, the Walworth School Class of 2026! We wish you the very best as you begin your high school journey. 🎉💜💛

A huge THANK YOU to our amazing Guidance Department, parents, community members, and local professionals who participated in Career Days over the past few months!

As part of our 8th-grade Academic and Career Planning (ACP) program, students had the opportunity to learn from professionals in nursing, city services and management, the military, cosmetology, criminal justice, and small business ownership. Through their stories, experiences, and insights, these presenters helped students explore a variety of career paths and gain a better understanding of the opportunities available to them in the future.

Your willingness to share your time and expertise opened students’ eyes to new possibilities, sparked curiosity, and inspired them to think about their goals beyond the classroom.

We appreciate all of you for helping our students dream big, plan smart, and prepare for their futures. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of our workforce! 👩‍🏫👨‍🔧

The 8th Grade Future Career Fair was a tremendous success! Our eighth-grade students showcased their hard work and dedication by researching a career of their choice and creating impressive portfolios. They shared their displays with fellow Walworth students, staff, and family members, highlighting their interests, skills, and goals for the future.

The top five presentations, as voted on by the adults who attended, were recognized for their outstanding work and received gift cards to Main Street Country Store or Subway! 🎉

This event is an important part of our commitment to Academic and Career Planning (ACP), providing students with the opportunity to explore careers, develop research and presentation skills, and begin thinking about their future pathways.

We are incredibly proud of all of our eighth graders for the effort, creativity, and professionalism they demonstrated throughout this project! 👏

A special thank you to Mr. K for organizing this meaningful event and to Mrs. Brungraber and Ms. Strohm for their assistance and support with the presentations.✨

The 8th Grade ACP Future Career Fair will be next Thursday, May 28, from 8:30 to 10 AM. The eighth-grade students researched a career of their choosing. Students worked diligently to create a portfolio to display for all of our Walworth students and family members to see. This aligns with our school's implementation of ACP (Academic and Career Planning) program.
If attending, please enter the school by the bell of Fremont Street and sign in as a guest at the Welcome Center.
