Mrs Weborg’s 3rd grade homeroom was very excited when their monarch caterpillar finally emerged from its chrysalis!!! They enjoyed watching its wings grow and identifying it as a male butterfly. Once it was ready to fly, they released it and wished him safe travels on his trip south!

To celebrate the conclusion of our Classic Tales Unit for reading class, Mrs. Niemuth's class had a lovely tea party, like Alice in Wonderland! Parents donated the tea-sized treats, and we watched the short Disney version of The Wind and the Willows, which we also read in class! 👒🎩☕🎉

“Honestly, I first ran for the school board because I was asked to by Kelly Freeman, former board president. Her and the administrator at the time thought I had a lot to offer. I thought, really?!?. I was a mother of 5 who hadn't used any of my 3 degrees in years because I had been home with kids and working as a bartender/waitress. What could I possibly bring to the table? I didn't make it my first run at it, I lost by a handful of votes. I then lost pregnancy #6 at 18 weeks. I went through a rough time. Months later, an election came up again, and I thought, let's get back to life. I am a person of service, and giving makes me feel fulfilled. I ran. I won. And I'm still here. Now it's a passion of mine. I just want Walworth to be a great place to teach and learn for ALL!”
