The junior kindergarten students and chaperones from Ms. Boldger's class enjoyed our recent field trip to Royal Oaks Farm. Our apple-picking experience was "a-MAZING" as we navigated the only apple maze in the country! Our tractor "taxi" was fun as we got to view the beautiful acres too. The bus ride, lunch picnic, time with the animals, and interactions at the park made the day so complete! 🍏🍎🍏🍎🍏

The second grade classes concluded their first Amplify Unit of Fairy Tales and Tall Tales. They read the following stories: "Beauty and the Beast," "The Fisherman and his Wife," "The Emperor’s New Clothes," "Paul Bunyon," "Peco’s Bill," "John Henry," and "Casey Jones." Last Friday students and teachers dressed up as the characters we read about, made Paul Bunyon's famous flapjacks, and watched the classic fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast! The second grade classes had an amazing fun-filled morning!

8th Grade ELA is working on the graphic novel Frankenstein by Gris Grimly (adapted from Mary Shelley's original text). The 8th grade students were asked to work in groups and use text evidence to create their own interpretation of the monster. The creativity in this group is amazing! Final products to come!
