At the end of the year the first grade classes walked to the Walworth Memorial Library to get their first library card! Miss Patti read and signed two books to them, while they enjoyed a little snack and learned a little about our library.
They were also the first group of kids to take a walk around the outside of the our building and enjoy our very first "Storywalk" displaying the book I Don't Want to Be a Frog by Dev Petty! What a fun day!
The outdoor 'Storywalk" is for everyone to come and enjoy - whether we're open or closed you can still read a book to your child!

The students had a fun time learning about pets and other furry friends this week. It was a cool challenge writing clues and following them for our scavenger hunt!

Sharon School Summer Meal Pick-Up
Sharon School's food service staff would like to get an idea of how many families will be picking up food boxes.

Pick up will happen at the Sharon School cafeteria doors on the following Mondays from 11:30-12:30: June 28th, July 5th & 26th, and August 2nd, 9th, 16th, & 23rd. We are just trying to get a general idea of how many boxes to have ready. If you do not mark a week now, and your plans change, you can still come up to get a box.

Mrs. Niemuth's week one of summer school has been a NATURE theme with stories, book walk and talks, and related nature crafts. We enjoyed reading outdoors on soft blankets and having recess in the sunshine!

Starting TODAY, June 22nd through Friday, July 2nd, ALL blacktop areas on school property will be closed for maintenance. The main parking lot, the blacktop playground area, the visitors parking area, the bus parking area, and the turnaround will all be closed to parking and use.
Immanual Church has allowed us to park in their lot for the duration of this work. Please park at the back of the lot.

In honor of Memorial Day, the Kindergarten students attended a flag presentation given by Mr. Kahl a member Ingalls-Koeppen American Legion Post 102 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 2373. Mr. Kahl talked with the children about flag etiquette, what the stars and stripes signify, and how to fold the flag. Each child was also presented with their very own flag to keep! A special thank you to Mr. Kahl for this meaningful and important lesson. 🇺🇸
