This event will be open to all K-2nd grade students. Students will have a variety of options to choose from including: Makey-Makey, OSMO, Lego Challenges, Cardboard Construction, Snap-Circuits, Code.Org, Crafts, and many others. Students can try each option or focus on 1 or 2. It’s their choice. The night will be hands-on and super fun. A snack will be provided. Space is limited to the 1st 30 students.

Third grade has been busy learning about fractions and equal parts! We solved a Math Mystery, made fraction sundaes, and even got to eat fraction brownies! A huge thank you to Mrs. Resendez for baking our delicious brownies for the lesson!

“I Scream, You Scream, we ALL scream for ICE CREAM!”Carter won this experience provided by Ms. Cathy Boldger at Walworth’s recent WinterFest. He invited friend, Evelyn and all 3 enjoyed their triple scoops of deliciousness from The Main Street Country Store. Afterwards, Simba, the kindergarten rabbit enjoyed attention from his two new friends.

The 5th/6th grade intramural basketball program began this week. The 7th/8th grader are in charge of coaching and reffing! Next week games will be on Monday and Tuesday. On Wednesday and Thursday we will conclude the intramural basketball program with the playoffs.

Our junior kindergartners enjoyed yet another wonderful walking field trip as part of our Community Outreach program. Last week our students had the opportunity to visit the Walworth Post Office and mail a very special Valentine card. A BIG THANK YOU to Miss Michelle for providing such a wonderful afternoon for our little sweethearts.

Walworth second graders are learning about water safety through the Geneva Lakes Family YMCA Splash program. During their time at the Y they also get some fun time in the gym. Students will be traveling to the YMCA five times throughout the months of February and March. #WalworhJ1

The Walworth Robotics teams are hard at work creating working robots for the competition in May! The teams have worked together planning their designs, building the robots, keeping a process journal, and creating a SlideShow for the presentation portion of the competition! The teams can’t wait to drive the robots and practice for the timed event, slalom event, and sumo event!
