The 3rd grade ELA students have been reading a story about a Japanese Kamishibai (storyteller). To correlate with the story, the students enjoyed learning about the Japanese culture today from one of their classmate's mothers. The classmate's father is employed at Kikkoman Foods. They especially loved learning how to eat rice cake with chopsticks, create an origami star, and look at pictures of Japan on a slide show!

Junior Kindergarten students enjoy monthly walking field trips to different places in our wonderful community of Walworth. Some of our destinations include Sentry, Heyer True Value, Walworth Memorial Library, First National Bank and Trust, Nayeli's Restaurant, Walworth Post Office, Burger King, and Taqueria La Frontera Restaurant and Grocery Store. #WalworthEarlyChildoodEducation #WalworthJ1

Mrs. Hummel's junior kindergarten celebrated filling their class piggy bank by having a fun pajama day! Everyone was comfy and cozy all day! They relaxed by doing Christmas yoga. Thank you to the kind and generous Student Council, who donated delicious, extra buttery popcorn! It was the perfect treat to enjoy as they watched the Ice Age Christmas Special movie. What a fantastic, festive Friday!

🎉Happy New Year, Wildcats!🎉

Mrs. Cullen's class had a special guest read The Book Without Pictures. It was really funny and not boring at all! We didn't even care that there were no pictures because our reader was so good at reading with expression!

We are thinking about all of our little “dears” in Ms. Boldger’s kindergarten class. The children had a wonderful day playing reindeer games and participating in school activities the day before vacation. Do you know they all are official “Stable Elves" for their care and knowledge of reindeer?! ❤🦌❤

Mrs. Hummel's junior kindergarten class enjoyed their monthly visit from Mrs. Penny Gruetzmacher. She read wonderful holiday stories, the children had fun playing with her cute finger puppets, and then everyone enjoyed her most delicious, homemade sugar cookies! Mrs. Gruetzmacher's time, talent, and treasures are much appreciated!
