Miss Chorneyko and Mrs. Valenti's 2nd grade classes celebrated their first Knowledge Unit on Fairy Tales and Tall Tales by dressing up as their favorite fairy tale/tall tale character that they read about. They watched Beauty and the Beast and enjoyed delicious pancakes with whipped cream, blueberries, and bacon! #WalworthJ1

This week our 8th grade music students had the opportunity to go see Wicked at the Emagine Theater. It was a terrific time! #WalworthJ1

Congratulations to last week's Paw Print winners. Students receive a Paw Print for working hard and making Walworth a great school. On Fridays, students who have earned a Paw Print are entered into a drawing. Way to go Wildcats! #WalworthProud #WalworthJ1

The 3rd graders at Walworth School were thrilled to receive their very own dictionaries from the State Line Grange members! This has been an annual program that they call "Words for Thirds." Even with all of the technology these days, the children absolutely love their dictionaries and look forward to using them throughout the years. Their favorite parts were the additional pages at the end, talking about the states and learning sign language! #WalworthJ1

🌎World Kindness Day🌍 We are so excited to share that our school will be celebrating "World Kindness Day" on Wednesday, November 13th! Our 7th/8th grade Student Council has worked hard to plan a wonderful day for both students and staff! Our celebration includes the following festivities ~ 1. Free popcorn for all! Student Council wants to spread kindness by sharing their "yummy" popcorn with staff and students. 🍿 2. Students & staff will be working together to create a large "Kindness Chain" that will be hung throughout our school! The goal of this project will be to visually see how powerful all of our acts of kindness can be! Together we can make a difference! ❤️🔗🧡🔗💛🔗💚🔗💙🔗💜 3. Dress-Up Day! Walworth Jt. District #1 and the 7th/8th grade student council are partnering with area schools and the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources to Hunt Off Hunger! Items will be collected in the Welcome Center starting November 13th through Friday, December 6th. All donated food will be shared with local community shelters and food pantries. #BetterTogether #WalworthJ1
